Biden: US raises duties on imports of some products from Russia
WASHINGTON, Jun 27 (PRIME) -- The U.S. has increased duties on imports of a number of products from Russia, according to a proclamation signed by President Joe Biden and released on Monday.
“I have determined that increasing … rates of duty to 35 percent ad valorem on certain other products of the Russian Federation, the importation of which has not already been prohibited, is warranted and consistent with the foreign policy interests of the United States,” the proclamation read.
The White House earlier announced plans to increase duties on 570 groups of Russian goods with a combined cost of U.S. $2.3 billion.
